In fall 2020, SLU’s School of Education is serving more than 40 college students who’re working full-time in local schools while pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) with alternative certification. Since 2015, the Billiken Teacher Corps at Saint Louis University has placed new lecturers in some of St. Louis’ hardest to staff Catholic schools. Beginning in 2021, this system will send teachers to St. Patrick’s Catholic School in Springfield, Illinois.
