Isn’t Quiche one of the best inventions?! A beautiful balance between buttery, flakey pastry and yet chockablock full of nutritious vegetables and high protein from the eggs. I started making this vegetable quiche as a side dish when entertaining a group of friends, serving it alongside a big tray of paprika-rubbed salmon, but then we discovered it’s a dream “leftover” dish to have for lunch the next day and actually it’s perfect on its own or with some simple balsamic-dressed salad and yoghurt. The number of times I have gone to have it for lunch and realized Jack scoffed the

gluten free vegan chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches
Creamy vanilla ice cream, sandwiched between two chewy chocolate chip cookies. These gluten free vegan chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches are the PERFECT summer treat!!
When it comes to summer desserts, I have a few favorites. Peach cobbler with ice cream of course, classic strawberry shortcake with all the fresh strawberries and homemade cherry crostata, made with the sweetest cherries you can find. All of these desserts involve baking, which I don’t do as much of in the summer. However, for these delicious desserts, turning on the oven when it’s a million degrees outside is totally worth it!!

This is a favorite recipe at my house. Even though this is a large recipe, my leftovers are always eaten in a couple of days. I love that even though this is a slow cook sauce and it takes some time, my sauce is truly appreciated and loved by my family. This recipe brings my family to the kitchen. I like to make it towards the end of the week so everyone can enjoy the left overs over the weekend and I can relax with less cooking.
A note about the recipe, the pasta is not included
Guilt Free Birch Tapping – My First Taste of Heavenly Birch Sap – thewildpharma
Fresh, vibrant, nutrient rich, all natural sugary tree water – the very thought of it made me drool with anticipation. I have been itching to try tapping Birch for a good few years now but could never get past the worry of potentially hurting the tree. After all, I live in a land of plentiful food supplies and numerous food shops – tapping Birch trees and risking their demise feels like a total indulgence. Pretty much all the info on tapping Birch involves drilling a hole into the trunk, fitting a hollow spout of some sort, placing a collecting container
Importance of Calcium during Menopause
Calcium and Menopause – Ayurvedic Approach
Women need extra calcium during menopause because of the hormonal changes that occur in the body during this time. As estrogen levels decline, the body can lose bone mass and density, increasing the risk of osteoporosis and bone fractures. Calcium is essential for maintaining strong bones, and women who do not consume enough calcium may be at higher risk of bone loss and osteoporosis. Supplementing with calcium can help reduce this risk and support overall bone health during menopause
As women age, their bodies undergo several changes, including menopause. Menopause is a natural biological
Personal Protective Equipment Safety Ppe Working In Cold Storage

Working in ColdStorage
Workers in cold storage environments are at risk of cold stress, making personal protective equipment (PPE) a critical last line of defense against frostbite, hypothermia and death.
According to WorkSafe Victoria’s safe Operations of Cold Storage Facilities Handbooka cold environment is defined as one in which greater than normal bodily heat losses occur.
Hence without action to compensate for these losses, workers face the onset of cold stress through whole-body or local cooling, which includes extremity and respiratory tract cooling, wind chill and contact cooling.
Furthermore, the lower the temperature and the longer the exposure, the
US healthcare quality is poor because…
Consumers don’t care.
Yesterday we dove into the disconnect between patient satisfaction (my nurse was sooo nice and my room…wow!) and quality of care (how likely was I to die).

Today, we focus on how this affects our healthcare. Or, as the researchers put it;
In an era of management by satisfaction survey, how does hospital competition shape the kind of medical services offered to patients?
Leaving out the coefficients, standardized deviations, null estimates and other researchers’ esoterica, we find:
Local competition among hospitals leads to higher patient satisfaction, but lower medical quality.
Yep, because we consumers value quiet
